Friendly Festival
Hay Springs
Hay Springs friendly festival was started in the 1920's and is held the fourth weekend in August each year. The event kicks off Thursday evening with a comical competition at the high school. Typically, another event such as a community play or stage entertainer is slated for Friday evening. The traditional parade is held on Main Street Saturday morning. A variety of events for the very young and the young at heart are happening on Saturday. The 5K Run, Tractor Pull, Horseshoes, Free Swimming, Pig Wrestling, Flower and Quilt Shows and Much much more are available during the peak of the event.
